In particular, as Avinyan wrote on his Facebook page:
Regarding the right to move:
- restrictions on free movement are lifted, that is, there is no need to fill the form on movement;
- the ban on public transport is still in force;
- interregional restrictions have already been lifted; this approach remains, but
- instead, due to the risk of spread or proximity to the source of risk, entrances to separate communities may be temporarily closed.
In terms of economic restrictions, in addition to the already allowed kinds of activities, the following activities are permitted:
- the entire processing industries, including textile, furniture, footwear, printing and others;
- construction work at the final stage;
- wholesale and retail trade, but only in specialized and non-specialized stores and kiosks. Malls, shopping centers and markets remain closed; only food and agricultural products and pharmacies can operate in them;
- the activities of restaurants, bars, cafes and taverns exclusively in open areas;
- the scope of information and communication in full;
- botanical and zoological gardens and specially protected natural areas and sanctuaries;
- the activities of sports clubs and facilities, with the exception of sporting events and training with the participation of professional athletes;
- individual services: washing, cleaning and dry cleaning as well as hairdressers, beauty salons and body care services.
Rules:
At the same time, Avinyan stressed that there are mandatory rules for organizing activities for all permitted areas, non-observance of which will lead to the application of liability measures established by law. At the same time will be strengthened control over compliance with the rules (more detailed information is available on the government website https://www.gov.am/files/docs/4038.pdf).
“The relaxation of restrictions does not mean that the threat of a pandemic has passed. It’s an attempt to adapt to the new rules of coexistence. Therefore, at this stage, individual, social and corporate responsibility of each of us is very important. This is a unique test for all of us to what extent we can show high consciousness and discipline," he said.
Avinyan also said that in the event of an aggravation of the situation, a decision may be made at any time to return to a regime of more stringent restrictions.
A state of emergency in order to suppress the spread of the coronavirus operates in Armenia from March 16 to April 14. Restrictions on free movement and certain types of economic activity in Armenia in a state of emergency (previously imposed for the period from March 24 to March 31) were extended until April 12 inclusive.
On April 13, the government extended the state of emergency for another month - until 17:00 on May 14, 2020 inclusive, expanding the list of business areas that are allowed to work again.
As of 11:00 on Sunday, May 3, there were 2,386 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,035 recovered patients and 35 deaths in the country. -0--
