Council of Elders approve Yerevan’s budget for 2016

The Council of Elders, the legislative body of the Armenian capital Yerevan, has approved today the municipality’s budget for 2016 that calls for 78.2 billion drams in revenue, a 9% rise from this year’s budget.
YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. The Council of Elders, the legislative body of the Armenian capital Yerevan, has approved today the municipality’s budget for 2016 that calls for 78.2 billion drams in revenue, a 9% rise from this year’s budget.
The projected spending is 78.4 billion drams, by 15.1% higher than the reported revenue in 2014. Of that amount about 99% make the administrative budget and 39% of that amount is earmarked for the social sector.
Earlier deputy mayor Kamo Areyan said the government will release for the municipality another 57 billion drams to ensure sustainable urban development and finance other needs of Yerevan. ($ 1 - 478.97 drams). -0-
