Some 4,543 deaths were reported in Armenia in January-February 2023, which is 23.2% less than in the same period of 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee.
YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. Some 4,543 deaths were reported in Armenia in January-February 2023, which is 23.2% less than in the same period of 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee.
More than half of the deaths (55.8% or 2,533 people) were caused by circulatory system diseases, 23% less than in the same period in 2021.
The second largest cause of deaths were neoplasms (17.8% or 810 people, a decrease of 5.3%).
Respiratory diseases (10.7% or 488 people, a decrease of 17.4%), digestive diseases (5% or 227 people, a decrease of 7.3%), external causes of morbidity and mortality (3.4% or 156 people, a decrease of 7.6%) are also listed among other causes of death. -0-
