First International Wine Conference under way in Yerevan

The International Wine Conference is now under way in Yerevan.
YEREVAN, November 23. /ARKA/. The International Wine Conference is now under way in Yerevan.
The conference is being held in Armenia for the first time. It will last until November 26.
“In accordance with an agreement signed between our organization and the head of La Cité du Vin, Armenian wine days will be announced in the museum in Bordeaux, and this will make Armenian wine known in the world better than now,” Zara Muradyan, director of the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, said Thursday at a news conference.
The Cité du Vin is a museum as well as a place of exhibitions, shows, movie projections and academic seminars on the theme of wine located in Bordeaux, France.
The best products of the world wine industry are kept here – there are around 14,000 bottles of whine from 80 countries in the museum’s cellars.
Muradyan also said that 2,000 bottles of many varieties of Armenian wine will be displayed in the museum during the event and centuries-long record of Armenian wine industry will be presented here.
As many as 30 prominent wine industry experts from nine countries are present at the conference. -0---
