First snow in Armenia falls on Mount Aragats (video)
YEREVAN, September 24. /ARKA/. Deputy Director of Armenia’s Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Gagik Surenyan published video footage from the top of Mount Aragats, where the first snow fell.

Mount Aragats is an isolated four-peaked volcano massif in Armenia. Its northern summit, at 4,090 m (13,420 ft) above sea level, is the highest point of the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia. It is also one of the highest points in the Armenian Highlands.
Earlier, the Armenian Weather Service reported that the air temperature in Armenia will drop by 7-10 degrees on September 24.
In some parts of the country, in particular, in Shirak, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor and Kotayk the night temperature will drop sharply to 0 degrees on September 26.
Rain with a thunderstorm is expected in Yerevan on September 24-25, the wind will increase to 15-20 m/sec. No rains are expected on September 26-28. --0--
