Ex-chairman of Armenia's Water Committee Vahagn Gevorgyan has been charged as part of a criminal case initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
YEREVAN, 26 December. /ARKA/. Ex-chairman of Armenia's Water Committee Vahagn Gevorgyan has been charged as part of a criminal case initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
Anti-Corruption Committee spokeswoman Marina Ohanjanyan told ARKA news agency that Gevorgyan has the status of accused and house arrest has been chosen as a preventive measure against him.
‘There are also other persons involved in the case with the same status,’ she said, refraining from providing other details citing the interests of the investigation.
Gevorgyan was dismissed as acting chairman of the Water Committee by Prime Minister's decision of 20 December 2024.
