YEREVAN, September 7. /ARKA/. The director of the Yerevan International Film Festival Golden Apricot Harutyun Khachatryan has been replaced by Susanna Harutyunyan, the art director of the festival, the press service of the film festival reports. It said Khachatryan left his post to shoot a new series of films.

The Golden Apricot Film Festival has been held in Yerevan since 2004 and is considered one of the most prestigious in the region. In different years it welcomed famous actors and directors, including Tonino Guerra, Claudia Cardinale, Fanny Ardan, Nastasya Kinsky, Ornella Muti, Jacqueline Bisset and others.

In 2010, the Yerevan Film Festival was awarded Ficts Plate D'honneur, the main prize of the International Union of Films, Television and Sports. -0-
