Government adds another 2 billion drams to Science Committee's budget

YEREVAN, March 31. /ARKA/. The Armenian government will supplement the 2021 budget of the Science Committee by additional 2 billion drams (about $4 million), the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan said at a press conference today.
He said 2 billion drams are not enough to solve all the problems of the Armenian science, but the government has a certain attitude and the target is to increase the Committee's budget by another 5 billion drams next year.
"We are ready to provide funds, although they are limited, but at the same time we expect the final result," Dumanyan emphasized.
The 2021 budget of the Committee is 13 billion drams. Of that amount 64.4% are earmarked as salaries. The rest is for funding research, targeted government programs and international treaties - 0--
