Government approve rise in military's transportation allowance

The government of Armenia has approved today a rise in the transportation allowance provided to military personnel for leaving on and returning from vacation.
YEREVAN, April 30. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia has approved today a rise in the transportation allowance provided to military personnel for leaving on and returning from vacation.
According to Minister of Defense David Tonoyan, the allowance provided now for this purpose is not enough for the military personnel who have to travel as much as 350 km to reach the destination.
"The decision of the government also applies to police and National Security Service officers," he said.
According to him, additional expenses will annually amount to about 150 million drams and will be released from the defense ministry's budget. ($1 - 479.52 drams). -0-
