YEREVAN, October 24. /ARКА/. The head of Kentron administrative district of Yerevan Viktor Mnatsakanyan said he has submitted a resignation application.
He said in a Facebook post that he has been holding the position for a year and took over the job at the suggestion of his friend Hayk Marutyan (the mayor of Yerevan), and the goal was to develop Armenia's capital city.
He said the motive behind his decision to resign is to engage in an in-depth study of urban problems. Mnatsakanyan also said that during this year he got acquainted with the specifics of the problems of the Kentron district, but this time was not enough to implement all his plans.
“This step does not mean that I am leaving the team of which I was part. My decision has no political reason and is solely personal. Let no one try to speculate on it based on political motives or weave conspiracy theories” Mnatsakanyan wrote.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Mayor Hayk Marutyan for their trust. -0
