Health Minister and Belgian ambassador discus cooperation
YEREVAN, November 27. /ARKA/. Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan and Belgian Ambassador to Armenia Eric de Munck discussed today the status of health reforms in the country and possible cooperation in a number of areas, such as support for introduction of compulsory health insurance in Armenia, treatment of burns, professional training, cooperation in pharmaceuticals and in treatment of cancers.
The Minister also expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by Belgium to the victims of the explosion at a fuel depot in Nagorno-Karabakh during the exodus of Armenian population in September.
The ministry said two out of three people undergoing treatment in Belgium have already recovered and will soon return to Armenia.
Avanesyan also expressed confidence that the planned opening of the Belgian Embassy in Yerevan will give a new push to the development of bilateral relations in the health care. -0-
