YEREVAN, August 24. /ARKA/. Armenian health minister Derenik Dumanyan ordered the specialists of the agency to develop an exemplary model of a regional hospital, the press service of the ministry said.

"Some of regional health facilities occupy vast areas. Large funds are spent to maintain these buildings. Today, we have set a goal to improve the situation with regional healthcare facilities. We cannot afford spending part of government funding on maintenance of large and unnecessary spaces," he was quoted as saying in a press release.

The press service of the ministry said after taking up as minister Mr. Dumanian visited many medical facilities and examined current problems. Some of them have already been solved, and instructions were issued to find ways to solve the rest. -0-
