YEREVAN, August 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center said short rains and thunderstorms are expected in some parts of the country on August 5-6, and in most parts on August 4.

Hailstorms are likely in some areas on August 4-6. No rains are forecast for August 7-8. The western winds will be blowing with 3-6 m/s speed. During thunderstorms, the wind may increase up to 18-23 m/s.

The temperature will drop by 6-8 degrees Celsius on August 4, while on August 5-8 it will rise as much.

Short rains with thunderstorms are expected in the capital Yerevan on August 4 and August 5 afternoon. On Friday afternoon the temperature will be 30-32 degrees Celsius. By Tuesday it is expected to rise to 35-37 degrees Celsius. -0-
