Hot air currents are approaching Armenia: Yerevan is expected to see temperatures up to 39 degrees Celsius

YEREVAN, August 18. /ARKA/. Warm, tropical air currents are entering Armenia from the south, and they will continue to influence the weather for the next five to six days, said Gagik Surenyan, deputy director of the Armenian Hydrometeorological Center.
"From August 18 to 19, the dayrime temperature will increase by 8-10 degrees Celsius in Lori, Tavush, and Syunik, and by 4-6 degrees in other regions, including Yerevan," Surenyan said.
He added that the highest temperatures will be recorded on August 19 and 20, with the hottest weather expected in the Ararat Valley and the lowland areas of Yerevan, where temperatures will reach 38 to 39 degrees Celsius.
"In the next five days, precipitation-free weather is expected in the country. An increased level of fire danger is expected in the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor, as well as in the Ararat Valley and Yerevan," Surenyan noted.
He also reported that the temperature dropped significantly over the past week, so it was quite cool in the mountainous regions of Armenia, including Lori, Tavush, and Syunik.-0-
