Hrazdan-Almast-Shorzha train of SCR available for tourists

Everyone who enjoys spending vacations at Lake Sevan can now take South Caucasian Railway train heading to Shorzha (Tsovagyugh) through Hrazdan and Almast.
YEREVAN, July 9. /ARKA/. Everyone who enjoys spending vacations at Lake Sevan can now take South Caucasian Railway train heading to Shorzha (Tsovagyugh) through Hrazdan and Almast.
The seasonal train has been available since July 7 every day except Wednesday. The train departs from Hrazdan station at 6:45 am and arrives at Almast in Yerevan at 8:08. It later departs from Almast at 08:30 and arrives at Shorzha at 11:25. Going back the train departs at 17:00 and arrives in Yerevan at 19:57, and in Hrazdan- 21:36.
“The train heading to Shorzha operates each summer to create more comfortable conditions for tourists, as well as to unload transport traffic on Yerevan-Sevan highway,” SCR informs.
Last year the train directed to Tsovagyugh station on working days, and to Shorzha only on weekends. This year the route is stretched to Shorzha for better conditions for passengers.
South Caucasus Railways, a 100-percent subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway.
Armenian Railways was handed over to the South Caucasus Railways on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years..-0-
