Armenian prosecutors in the northern province of Lori have launched 11 criminal cases into illegal felling of as many as 4,416 trees in the local forests.
YEREVAN, March 11. /ARKA/. Armenian prosecutors in the northern province of Lori have launched 11 criminal cases into illegal felling of as many as 4,416 trees in the local forests.
According to the office of prosecutor general, the criminal cases are initiated under the article of the Criminal Code on service negligence. The damage caused by the illegal felling is estimated at 182 million drams.
The e criminal cases are said to concern the failure of a number of local floristries officials of to fulfill their duties.
