YEREVAN, July 28. /ARKA/. Armenia’s National Weather Center warned today that the risk of wildfires is high in the valleys and foothills of the country.
It said short rains with thunderstorms are expected on July 30-31 and August 1 in some parts of the country.
The southwestern winds will be blowing with gusts up to 2-5 m/s. The wind is expected to strengthen in Armavir, Aragatsotn and Kotayk foothills with gusts up to 15-20m/s in the evening hours.
The temperature will rise gradually by 1-2 degrees across the country. No rains are expected in Yerevan in the coming days. The daytime temperature in the capital will rise to 37 degrees Celsius. -0-
