The president of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Bako Sahakyan attended the Zhengyalov Hats Festival in the village of Tsakhkashat, Askeran region of Karabakh on Wednesday, the presidential press office reported.

STEPANAKERT, April 30. /ARKA/. The president of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Bako Sahakyan attended the Zhengyalov Hats Festival in the village of Tsakhkashat, Askeran region of Karabakh on Wednesday, the presidential press office reported.

The president expressed hopes that the festival would become a tradition helping preserve national heritage and promote tourism. The event was attended also by NKR’s speaker Ashot Ghulyan, vice-premier Artur Aghabekyan and other officials, as well as guests from Armenia and overseas.

Zhengyalov Hats is smaller lavash bread stuffed with some 20 kinds of herbs that is popular among residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as in Kapan and Goris of Armenia. –0--
