List of kinds of information not considered as “tax secret” to be expanded in Armenia

The National Assembly of Armenia passed Tuesday unanimously at the first reading amendments to the tax code. The amendments proposed by My Step faction imply expansion of the list of kinds of information not considered as “tax secret”.

YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. The National Assembly of Armenia passed Tuesday unanimously at the first reading amendments to the tax code. The amendments proposed by My Step faction imply expansion of the list of kinds of information not considered as “tax secret”.
The information about the number of a company’s employees, tax and tax regime will not be considered as secret data.
Artak Manukyan, an MP from My Step faction who presented the bill to fellow lawmakers, said that the aim of the proposal is to enhance transparency and accountability.
The next alteration applies to the list of taxpayers, which is proposed to be completely open, while now only information about 1000 biggest taxpayers is available.
The legislator said her meant only legal entities, not individuals. -0---
