Median gross monthly salary in Armenia rises to 188,094 drams

In 2016 May the median gross monthly salary in Armenia was 188,094 drams ($393 or 25,886 Russian rubles), which was by 4.7% more than in 2015 May, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).

In 2016 May the median gross monthly salary in Armenia was 188,094 drams ($393 or 25,886 Russian rubles), which was by 4.7% more than in 2015 May, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS). In April 2016 the median gross salary was 187,244 drams, or by about 2.9% more than in April 2015.
In 2016 April the highest gross median monthly salary was posted by the southern region of Syunik - about 220,000 drams, and the lowest was in the central Aragatsotn region - about 130,400 drams. In Yerevan, it was about 201,500 drams.
The highest salaries were boasted by financial and insurance sectors - about 376,300 drams, information and communications -about 423,000 drams, and the mining industry – 348,800 drams.
The low-paid sectors were culture, entertainment and leisure- 113,700 drams, education – 121,100 drams, agriculture, forestry and fisheries -about 122,000 drams, hotels and catering – 125,300 drams.. ($ 1 - 476.68 drams). -0-
