Some 5,410 foreigners applied for temporary residence status in Armenia in 2024 and 4,280 of them received it, Aram Melkonyan, a a senior official from the Migration and Citizenship Service, told a press conference today.

More than 4 thousand foreigners granted temporary residence right in Armenia in 2024

YEREVAN, 23 December. /ARKA/. Some 5,410 foreigners applied for temporary residence status in Armenia in 2024 and 4,280 of them received it, Aram Melkonyan, a a senior official from the Migration and Citizenship Service, told a press conference today.

According to him, another 3,659 people applied for permanent residence status, and 2,930 people received it, and another 408 people applied for special residence status and 413 of them were granted it,’ he said.

He noted that 5,341 people applied for temporary residence status through the work permit system (workpermit.am), 3,961 applications were satisfied.

Overall, in 2024, some 20,703 people applied for Armenian citizenship, and 4,034 people applied for its termination. Some18,063 persons were granted citizenship and the citizenship of 3,433 persons was terminated. -0-
