A new ethnic quarter called "Noah" will be built in Yerevan near Dalma Garden trading center, Anahit Yesayan, a press secretary for the State Urban Development Committee, said to Novosti Armenia news agency.
YEREVAN, February 14. /ARKA/. A new ethnic quarter called "Noah" will be built in Yerevan near Dalma Garden trading center, Anahit Yesayan, a press secretary for the State Urban Development Committee, said to Novosti Armenia news agency.
She said of $230 million dollar worth investment projects presented by the Committee to the government, $105 million worth projects were found to be realistic, including a project for the construction of the ethnic quarter.
Yesayan added that the time-frame of the construction work has not yet been determined. According to the spokesperson, the quarter will have a total area of 150 thousand square meters with residential and office buildings, made in the ethnic style, typical of various regions of Armenia.
She said several companies have shown interest in this project, which is quite attractive in terms of tourism development.
The project’s designer is Artavazd Tarkhanyan. He was assisted by young professionals and students of Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction. -0--
