YEREVAN, January 22. /ARKA/. The next session in the trial of Valery Permyakov is scheduled for January 29.

Valery Permyakov, a serviceman at the Russian military base, who is indicted for killing a family of seven, including two babies in Armenia’s Gyumri on January 12, 2015, was caught by Russian border troops on the next day as he attempted to cross Armenia-Turkey border. He confessed his guilt.

Preliminary investigation into the killings was completed on October 16.

On August 12, Russian military court sentenced Permyakov to 10 years in prison for desertion with a gun, and now he is being tried by Armenian court for murders.

At today’s session, the court embarked on examination of witnesses and heirs of victims, but some of relatives of the killed Avetisyan family felt bad and needed medical assistance. They no longer could stay in the courtroom.

Taking this circumstance into account, the judge decided to postpone the session for the next Friday. ---0----
