No cholera cases recorded in Armenia: ministry of health
No cases of penetration of cholera to Armenia from neighboring Iran have been recorded, the press office of Armenian ministry of health reported.
YEREVAN, October 8. /ARKA/. No cases of penetration of cholera to Armenia from neighboring Iran have been recorded, the press office of Armenian ministry of health reported.
Earlier Iran’s ministry of healthcare and medical education reported that over 200 cases of cholera were recorded in 10 provinces of the country. Most of the diseased are citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Armenia’s ministry of health is taking preventive measures at border crossing point in Meghri and in Zvartnots airport. In particular, 1,564 passengers who arrived from Iran were examined. No people with cholera symptoms were found, according to the report.
About 1,000 Armenian citizens traveling to Iran were given the respective recommendations.–0--
