YEREVAN, January 19. /ARKA/. Not a single child death in Armenia has been directly caused by H1N1 (swine flu), Sergey Sargsyan, the chief pediatrician at the Armenian health ministry, said on Monday.

He said the swine flu outbreak is seen not only in Armenia, but also in neighboring countries.

Sargsyan is quoted by Armenpress as saying that the outbreak is subsiding, the number of patients in hospitals shrank and patients brought to hospitals in critical conditions are now feeling better.

According to the health ministry’s figures, he said, some 600 children were let out of hospitals. One quarter of the children were taken to hospitals with pneumonia.

Commenting on the information about the death of a ten-month baby from H1N1, Sargsyan said that the baby has died from a tumor. ---0---
