YEREVAN, August 2. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented Thursday the government's decision to move the car customs formalization point from Noragavit to Gyumri.

"We have three customs points on the Armenia-Georgia border, one of which, Bagratashen, is always overburdened, while Bavra and Gogavan are burdened insufficiently," Pashinyan posted on his Facebook page.

The government has allocated 21.5 hectares and AMD 181 million ($380,000) to the State Revenue Committee for construction of car customs formalization center and a center of foreign police activity.

"We hope this will spur economic life in Gyumri," Pashinyan said.

He also stressed the importance of financing a repair of the Gyumri-Bavra road. "Our Georgian colleagues have started repairing the Ninotsminda-Bavra section, and the repair of the Gagut section of the Armenian-Georgian road is already arranged," the premier said adding that the road to Gogavan on Armenia's territory is in a good state. -0---
