Pashinyan, Lukashenko discuss measures to fight coronavirus spread

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the press service of the Armenian government said.
YEREVAN, March 31. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the press service of the Armenian government said.
It said the two men exchanged information on the epidemic situation in their respective countries in connection with the spread of COVID-19 infection, as well as on measures taken by the governments to contain its spread.
They were said to have also discussed a set of issues regarding interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union in the current situation. The need for periodic consultation and joint action was emphasized.
On March 16 the government of Armenia declared a 30-day state of emergency to stop the spread of coronavirus. As of March 31, 532 cases of coronavirus were confirmed, 30 people recovered and three patients died. -0-
