Pashinyan: previous authorities destroyed many files
YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) is conducting an official investigation into the destruction of files by previous authorities, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference on Wednesday convened to take stock of his one- year premiership.

He said the official investigation has been underway for several months already. He said some files had been destroyed shortly before the velvet revolution. Pashinyan refused to elaborate.

“I can’t say what the result of the investigation will be. I’m not a lawyer to give assessments. But according to my political assessment, it’s a crime, because it’s not their property,” he said.

Asked why the investigation has been running so long, the prime minister said that this is a "ghost case, and it should lead to very serious consequences." -0-
