YEREVAN. November 21. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited today the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to introduce the newly appointed minister Mesrop Arakelyan and to thank the outgoing minister Zaruhi Batoyan.

Pashinyan said that due to a number of circumstances- such as the coronavirus crisis, the war in Artsakh, its consequences and the economic situation - the social tension in the country will rise.

'I just told Mr. Arakelyan that now is not the time to say that it takes time to get down to work, to understand its specifics," Pashinyan said. According to him, it is necessary to start work immediately and achieve concrete results.

“This year has been very difficult in terms of social issues, and the functions and responsibilities of the ministry in this regard are really difficult. I would like to highlight the problems that have arisen in the social sphere that need to be addressed as soon as possible. My goal and the goal of the ministry team will be to achieve new results on a daily basis," Arakelyan said.

He assured that in a very short time the ministry will achieve significant results in order to alleviate the current situation as much as possible, while not forgetting the government programs that are planned to be implemented in the social sphere. -0
