YEREVAN, January 10. /ARKA/. There are no plans to raise pensions in Armenia in 2024, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan said on Wednesday.

‘The next pension increase is planned for 2025," he told a press conference. He also recalled a "very important decision" of the government according to which all pensioners and recipients of various allowances are entitled to a 10 percent cashback when paying for goods and some services with bank cards.

However, the amount of the cashback cannot be more than 5,000 drams per month. According to the minister, this is also a "peculiar" increase in pensions.

Currently, the minimum pension in Armenia is 36,000 drams ($88), and the retirement age for women and men is 63. --0--
