YEREVAN, October 16. /ARKA/. Citing a dramatic surge in the number of new coronavirus cases, Armenia's Health and Labor Inspectorate urged economic entities to strictly observe sanitary and hygienic standards reminding that otherwise they will be subjected to fines.
The Ministry of Health said that a violation by an entity implies a fine and a recommendation to eliminate it.
It said the results of inspections by the Health and Labor Inspectorate conducted in Yerevan and regions to prevent the spread of coronavirus suggest that safety standards are most often violated by beauty salons, trade and service companies. Fewer violations were found in pharmacies, banks and closed industries.
Today morning, Armenia's confirmed cases of coronavirus stood at 61,460. The number of new cases grew by 1,465. Some 10 patients died of COVID-19 the day before, bringing the death toll to 1,056 people; some 47,541 patients have recovered. --0--
