An average salary amount is subject to change in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) since 1 June 2013, NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan said yesterday.

STEPANAKERT, April 26./ARKA/. An average salary amount is subject to change in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) since 1 June 2013, NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan said yesterday.

The government approved the report on the 2012 budget implementation which will be submitted to the parliament.

Harutyunyan said the 9.9% economic growth in 2012, which was higher from 2011, proves the rapid rates of economic development. At the same time, according to him, it is necessary to ensure higher economic growth to raise the life quality of the citizens.

“Retail trade turnover rose by 8.7% in 2012 from a year earlier, services to population –by 10.2%. Over 1,030 new jobs were opened in the republic. An average salary in 2012 was 102,777 drams, which was 4.4% higher from 2011,” Harutyunyan noted.

Karabakh government head said the average salary amount is not enough, and some responsible bodies had been already instructed to work over raising it.

As to NKR 2012 budget expenditures, Harutyunyan highlighted they should be made in accordance with the priorities, when possible, the state funds should be saved. -0-
