Snow, winds and cold snaps expected in Armenia
YEREVAN, March 2. /ARKA/. Armenia's National Weather Service said today daytime precipitations are expected in some parts of the country on March 4 and 5, also at night hours on March 2-3 and at night hours on March 4. It said precipitations on March 4-5 in the mountainous areas will be in the from of snow.
Thunderstorms are expected in some areas. No rains or snow are forecast for March 5 and March 6 night hours. The winds will be from the south with gusts up to 2-5 m/s; on March 3-5 in some areas their speed may accelerate to 18-23 m/s.
The temperatures on March 4-5 will go down by 6-8 degrees. In Yerevan on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon the temperatures will warm up to 11-15 degrees Celsius. On Friday - Sunday the air temperature will drop to 6-9 degrees and on Sunday night it will drop to 3-5 degrees below zero.
The coldest day will be March 6 in the Shirak region, as well as in the mountains of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor, where temperatures will drop to 12 degrees below zero. -0-
