YEREVAN, October 19. /ARKA/. Armenia's National Weather Service said rains are expected across the country in the evening hours and throughout the night on October 19 and 20.

Rains are also forecast for some parts of the country on October 22 and most parts on October 21. No precipitation is expected on October 23. The speed of the western winds will be 2-5 m/s. During the thunderstorms, it may accelerate to 17-20 m/s.

The daytime and night temperatures will drop steeply by 8-10 degrees on October 22.

Short showers are expected in Yerevan on October 19 evening and October 20 overnight. Protracted rains are forecast for the capital on October 21 and October 22 overnight.

Weather forecasters predict 20-22 degrees Celsius in the capital on Wednesday, 21-23 degrees for the following day and a drop to 13 -15 degrees on Friday. On Saturday, the temperature will go up 2-3 degrees.

The coldest day will be the Saturday night in Shirak region, where the temperature will fall to 2 degrees below zero. Zero temperatures are expected also in Gegharkunik and Lori regions, as well as Kin otayk, Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor mountains. -0-
