Temperatures in Armenia to soar to 37 degrees Celsius this week

YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring said occasional rains and thunderstorms are expected on June 15-16 in most parts of the country and in the capital Yerevan.
It said that rains are also expected at night hours on June 17-18 and in the afternoons in some areas. No rains are expected on June 19.
The southwestern winds’ speed will be 2-5 meters per second; during thunderstorms the speed may accelerate to 18-23 meters per second.
The temperatures across the country will gradually rise by 4-7 degrees on June 17-19. The daytime temperature in Yerevan on Wednesday will be 28-30 degrees Celsius. It will rise to 34-36 degrees by Sunday.
The hottest temperature will be on June 19 in Ararat region and Vayots Dzor foothills where the temperatures will reach 37 degrees Celsius. -0-
