Two new underground railway (Metro) stations will connect the Ajapnyak administrative district with the center of Yerevan, chief architect of the Armenian capital Arthur Meschyan told reporters on Thursday.
YEREVAN, January 24. /ARKA/. Two new underground railway (Metro) stations will connect the Ajapnyak administrative district with the center of Yerevan, chief architect of the Armenian capital Arthur Meschyan told reporters on Thursday.
"We are planning to build new metro stations. The project has already been launched. Two new stations will be built in the Ajapnyak districty," he said. Meschyan said another station may be built in Davitashen district. He said this would require a lot of funding.
Yerevan Metro was founded in 1981. The Soviet built Metro serves 10 stations and is only 13.4 kilometers long. -0-
