Unique brain surgery successfully carried out in Armenia

In recent days, brain surgeons Sevak Badalyan and Lernik Grigoryan have successfully carried out a brain aneurysm clipping surgery at the Heratsi First Unjiverst Clinic's special brain surgery center, the press office of the Yerevan State Medical University reports. In the beginning of this year, an emergency ambulance brought a patient with suspected apoplexy. He was diagnosed with brain aneurism rapture and hemorrhagic stroke.
YEREVAN, November 18. /ARKA/. In recent days, brain surgeons Sevak Badalyan and Lernik Grigoryan have successfully carried out a brain aneurysm clipping surgery at the Heratsi First Unjiverst Clinic's special brain surgery center, the press office of the Yerevan State Medical University reports.
In the beginning of this year, an emergency ambulance brought a patient with suspected apoplexy. He was diagnosed with brain aneurism rapture and hemorrhagic stroke.
Sevak Badalyan and Lernik Grigoryan managed to carry out intravenous obliteration of aneurism and save the patient's life.
The follow-up examinations showed that the aneurism kept growing and that there is some probability of a repeat stroke. Therefore, it was decided to clip the aneurismal neck trough an open surgery.
The five-hour surgery was successful and the risk of a repeat stroke was averted. The patient is in a satisfactory condition, and he will soon return to his usual life, as before. -0---
