Unique Medical Center comes online in Nagorno-Karabakh

Nagorno-Karabakh president Bako Sahakian, Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, a member of the British House of Lords Baroness Caroline Cox, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan , president of Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan and many other dignitaries attended today the official opening of the National Medical Center in Nagorno-Karabakh capital Stepanakert. The center is named after Sargis and Amalia Karapetyan, the press service of Tashir Group that financed the center’s construction, said. Overall, $22 million were spent on the construction and acquisition of equipment.

Nagorno-Karabakh president Bako Sahakian, Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, a member of the British House of Lords Baroness Caroline Cox, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan , president of Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan and many other dignitaries attended today the official opening of the National Medical Center in Nagorno-Karabakh capital Stepanakert. The center is named after Sargis and Amalia Karapetyan, the press service of Tashir Group that financed the center’s construction, said. Overall, $22 million were spent on the construction and acquisition of equipment.
"The medical center occupying about 10,000 sq meters is a unique architectural construction, equipped with advanced medical diagnostic and surgical equipment to serve the entire population of the Nagorno -Karabakh Republic,” Tashir said in a statement.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, president Bako Sahakyan thanked Samvel Karapetyan for his significant contribution to the health of the people of Karabakh.
"This medical center meets the best international standards and will help improve the health of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh. Its construction became possible thanks to benefactor Samvel Karapetyan ," Bako Sahakian said.
"We are proud that Tashir was chosen to finance the construction of this unique facility. I also want to thank the president of the Republic Bako Sahakyan for this opportunity and the great trust in us ," Samvel Karapetyan said.
The medical center is a multilevel building consisting of hemodialysis, medical, surgical and intensive care units and emergency department. It has two modern reanimation vehicles, allowing the use of the most advanced treatment standards.
The hospital was built taking into account the seismic risks of the region. The building is also equipped with advanced management systems.
Tashir Group is a Moscow-based vertically integrated structure, founded in 1999 bringing together more than 200 companies in eight business areas. It has more than 45,000 people on its payrolls. -0-
