VTB (Armenia) provides support to ARMMONO festival
YEREVAN, April 17. /ARKA/. VTB (Armenia) bank provided supported to the 22nd annual international festival ARMMONO, which this year is being held in Yerevan from April 17 to May 3. The festival features more than 20 Armenian and foreign mono-performances of different genres - monodrama, mono-standup.
The performances will be held in different theater halls in Yerevan with the participation of 50 actors. The audience will see two Russian productions - the winner of the International Monocle Festival of mono-performances and one from Belarus. The festival also includes master classes of famous art managers, directors and actors from Russia.
"We are happy to support the ARMMONO festival, which has become a bright event in the cultural life of the country. This event has been bringing together talented actors, directors and everyone who appreciates and loves art for more than two decades. Such events help to develop theater art and strengthen interaction between creative teams from different countries. I am sure that all the performances of this year's festival will be of great interest to the audience and will attract new theatre lovers," commented Ara Avagyan, General Director - Chairman of the Directorate of VTB (Armenia).
Festival Director Marianna Mkhitaryan noted, in her turn, that the ARMMONO festival has existed for more than 20 years.
"Mono-performance is one of the recognized modern theatrical genres in the world, which has become native to our audience as well. We are very grateful that VTB (Armenia) is supporting us in such a large-scale project, which will undoubtedly play an important role in the development of Armenian culture and strengthening international relations," she said.
