YEREVAN, July 26. /ARKA/. Wildfire risks are high in the valleys and foothills of the country, Armenia's National Weather Service warned today.

It said short rains with thunderstorms are expected on July 26-27 afternoons and July 30 in some parts of the country. No rains are predicted on July 28-29.

The speed of southwestern winds is 2-5 m/s. It is expected to strengthen in the evening hours in Armavir, in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk with gusts up to 17-22 meters per second.

The air temperature will rise gradually by 5-8 degrees on July 26-29. The daytime temperature in the capital Yerevan will rise to 33-37 degrees Celsius.-0-
