YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. The website for the unified ticket system, transport.yerevan.am, has been launched, where citizens can purchase passes for buses, trolleybuses, and the metro, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan said on Monday.

"Citizens will now be able to familiarize themselves with the new price packages, calculate the most affordable package using a calculator, and, by entering their social card number, check if they are included in the group of beneficiaries," Avinyan said during a meeting at the city hall.

He mentioned that this website is the first service of the unified platform for services provided by the city administration. "Yerevan residents will have access to all services through one account, so they will not need to visit different websites or maintain multiple accounts," the mayor noted.

Avinyan also announced that starting from January 1, 2025, the city will switch to a completely cashless payment system for public transport.

"The previous tariffs will remain in effect for now. New ticketing tools will also be introduced. In January, we must ensure a full transition, moving from the old model to the new one," the mayor added.

About the Unified Ticket System

Currently in Yerevan, a single trip on the bus and metro costs 100 drams, while a trip on the trolleybus costs 50 drams. Since November 1, payment for travel is only possible with 100-dram coins or through payment terminals, and from the end of November, bank cards are also accepted.

According to the City Hall project, starting January 1, 2025, the cost of travel tickets will be as follows:

  • 280 (300) drams - for a "90-minute" ticket (3 trips)
  • 880 (900) drams - for a daily package (8 trips)
  • 4,800 (5,000) drams - for a weekly package (30 trips)
  • 8,800 (9,000) drams - for a monthly package (unlimited travel)
  • 23,600 (24,000) drams - for a 90-day package (unlimited travel)
  • 88,800 (90,000) drams - for a yearly package (365 days, unlimited travel)

The first figure represents the cost of online tickets, while the number in parentheses is the price for a travel card on a physical medium.

When purchasing any tariff package, citizens will be able to use all types of public transport: buses, metro, and trolleybuses.
