Yerevan Municipality reduces QR code ticket validity to 7 days
YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. Yerevan Municipality announced the reduction of the validity period for QR code tickets on public transport to 7 days.
The city administration explains this decision as an effort to "ensure the smooth operation of the ticket system."
Currently, QR codes are valid for 30 days and can be generated through the TelCell Wallet app, printed from an orange TelCell terminal, or purchased as paper tickets in the metro.
The mayor's office also announces that the option to pay for transport tickets with bank cards will be available soon.
About unified ticket system
Now in Yerevan, one trip in bus and metro costs 100 drams, in trolleybus - 50 drams.
According to the city hall’s project, from January 1, 2025, travel tickets will cost
- daily package - 880 (900) drams
- weekly package - 4,800 (5,000) drams
- monthly package - 8,800 (9,000) drams
- 90-day package - 23 600 (24 000) drams
- annual package (365 days) - 88 800 (90 000) drams
The first number is the cost of online tickets, and in brackets is the fare for a physical travel pass.
When purchasing any tariff package, citizens will be able to use all types of public transport - buses, metro, trolleybuses. ($1 - 388.89 drams).
