Yerevan's 2025 public transport budget to reach up to 22 billion AMD – Avinyan

YEREVAN, December 27. /ARKA/. In 2025, Yerevan Municipality's expenses on public transport are expected to total around 21-22 billion drams, according to Mayor Tigran Avinyan. This amount covers the metro, electric transport, and “Yerevan Bus” CJSC. The Municipality will continue subsidizing public transport, with 171 new buses yet to be deployed, bringing expenses to 17.5 billion drams.

This year, “Yerevan Bus” generated approximately 8 billion drams in revenue. At the same time, the Municipality has already subsidized an additional 8.5 billion drams, with another 1 billion drams set for subsidy. Avinyan noted that in 2025, the city's own expenses are expected to rise to around 13 billion drams, with the Municipality subsidizing at least 5-6 billion drams. The approved draft budget for Yerevan in 2025 totals almost 159.4 billion drams.
