Yerevan Day celebrations slated for October 14

On October 14, Armenia’s capital city Yerevan will celebrate the 2799th anniversary of its founding by 28 different festive events, including exhibitions dedicated to the city, traditional dance and music concerts, children's and sports events, flashmobs, Yerevan deputy mayor Aram Sukiasyan told a news conference today.

On October 14, Armenia’s capital city Yerevan will celebrate the 2799th anniversary of its founding by 28 different festive events, including exhibitions dedicated to the city, traditional dance and music concerts, children's and sports events, flashmobs, Yerevan deputy mayor Aram Sukiasyan told a news conference today.
The deputy mayor said one of the festive events is an international festival of balloons that will start on the Republic Square and will last for two days. The celebration of the city's day will be completed with a youth discotheque at Freedom Square and a festive salute.
In addition to cultural and entertainment events, the municipality will this present home appliances to 2,799 families, who are socially unsecured families and war and liberation movement veterans. The deputy mayor said the municipality has released 80 million drams ($167,200) to celebrate the city's day. -0--
