Elina Danielyan, the reigning European champion, has won all three rounds and has currently  the best result at the European Women's Individual Chess Championship held in the Czech capital of Prague.

YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. Elina Danielyan, the reigning European champion, has won all three rounds and has currently the best result at the European Women's Individual Chess Championship held in the Czech capital of Prague.

Players from four other countries have also won the first three rounds. Armenia's Lilit Mkrtchyan is half a point behind the leaders with 2.5 points.

Armenia is represented at the 22nd edition of the European Women’s Individual Chess Championship also by Anna Sarkisyan, Mariam Mkrtchyan, Susanna Gaboyan and Maria Gevorgyan.

This year a total of 125 chess players are competing in the championship. The tournament is held in the Swiss system and consists of 11 rounds. The championship started on August 20 and will end on August 31. -0-
