FFA and head coach terminate contract

The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) and the head coach of Armenia's national team Abraham Khashmanyan reached a mutual agreement on the termination of the latter's contract with FFA.
YEREVAN, February 12. /ARKA/. The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) and the head coach of Armenia's national team Abraham Khashmanyan reached a mutual agreement on the termination of the latter's contract with FFA.
According to a statement on FFA's official website, the decision was made following several meetings between the President of the Federation Armen Melikbekyan and Abraham Khashmanyan.
Melikbekyan thanked Khashmanyan for taking over the post in a difficult situation and wished him success in his further coaching career. The name of the new head coach of the Armenian team will be announced shortly.
Khashmanyan was approved as head coach of the Armenian national football team on November 7, 2019. His major task was to secure Armenia's participation in the Euro 2020. Moreover, under Khashmanyan the team suffered the largest fiasco in the history of modern Armenian football. In the final qualifying round of the Euro 2020 Armenia lost an away game to Italy 9: 1. -0-
