Contrary to wide expectations the president of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) Ruben Hayrapetyan will not resign.
YEREVAN, May 31. /ARKA/. Contrary to wide expectations the president of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) Ruben Hayrapetyan will not resign. Speaking at a news conference today he said he remains at the helm of the Federation.
Earlier, Hayrapetyan did not rule out his resignation after the end of the 2018 World Cup qualifying rounds.
After five qualifying rounds with 6 points Armenia divides the fourth and fifth places with Romania. The group is led by Poland with 13 points. They are followed by Montenegro and Denmark which scored seven points each. The outsider of the group is Kazakhstan, which scored only two points.
Hayrapetyan was elected president of the FFA in 2002. He was reelected in 2006, 2010 and 2015.-0-
