Ameriabank assists in commissioning of hydropower and solar plants in Armenia

Ameriabank said today it has assisted in the construction of a hydropower plant and a solar power plant in Armenia.
YEREVAN, March 12, /ARKA/. Ameriabank said today it has assisted in the construction of a hydropower plant and a solar power plant in Armenia.
The hydropower plant, called Tigran Mets, was commissioned in 2015 by Rus & Har LLC. “The construction of the hydropower plant was launched in 2012, and completed in May 2015. The electricity generated by the power plant is sold to the Armenian power grids,” said Zhirayr Manukyan, the head of Rus & Har LLC.
He said of all Armenia-based commercial banks Ameriabank was chosen as the most reliable partner to realize the project.
“The terms offered by Ameriabank were the most profitable, and we decided to have it as our partner. There are a lot of problems in this area, but they can be solved through effective work, investments and good partners,” said Manukyan.
Ameriabank promotes the projects aimed at developing alternative energy. According to Manukyan, the company, with the assistance of Ameriabank, has also commissioned a solar power plant.
"Working with Ameriabank, we launched the solar power plant in the Shoghakat-Shorzha 1 community. We have been operating it for a week now and we see good prospects. The company will continue further cooperation with the bank," he said.
