"We have joint projects, which are still at the planning stage; there are projects which are underway already and besides, we have joint projects aimed at long-term prospects," he said.
Speaking about the construction of the third high-voltage power transmission line between Armenia and Iran Voskanyan said it is important not only in terms of power transmission, but also in terms of making Armenia a transit corridor, given the quadrilateral memorandum signed earlier by Russia, Armenia, Georgia and Iran.
He noted that after the commissioning of the third power transmission line Iran will triple volumes of natural gas to Armenia, which in turn will lead to a 100% increase of the Armenian-Iranian trade.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the construction of the 400-kilovolt power transmission lines connecting Iran and Armenia and Armenia will Georgia will enhance the links between the energy systems of the countries.
The construction of the first power line is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017, the construction of the second a year later. Then, the power grids of all 4 countries will be able to work in synchronous mode, able to transmit up to 1200 MW of electricity- enough for commercial and swap, as well as any emergency supplies - 0--
