Armenia can help Belgium with IT specialists
YEREVAN, October 19. /ARKA/. Armenia can help Belgium with IT specialists, Eric Bletard, Trade and Investment Consultant at the Wallonia Export and Investment Agency, told a press conference in Yerevan today.
"Our enterprises have a hard time finding good IT specialists because universities do not train enough personnel. Therefore, Armenia is one of the countries that can help Belgium in this respect," he said.
Bletard also mentioned tourism and hotel business as promising areas of cooperation. According to him, precious metals, diamonds, zinc and aluminum, produced in Armenia are the goods of interest for the Belgian market
"In 2021-2022, the trade turnover between Armenia and Belgium increased by almost 100%. This year it is expected to grow by another 50%. Thus, the first half of 2023 is also promising. There is every reason to look into the future with optimism," Eric Bletard emphasized.
According to the Armenian National Statistical Committee, the trade turnover between Armenia and Belgium in the first 8 months of the current year grew by 32% year-on-year to $156.6 million. -0-
